There is no doubt that high-pitched singers, male and female, but particularly males, are exceptionally popular. My question is…why?

Why do so many seemingly talented men strive to have near female voices in song? No doubt their motivation for doing so is based on the modern audiences lauding them for doing so which to me is even more puzzling?!

What happened to the beautiful masculine voices like Perry Como; Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and outstandingly for me, Nat King Cole, and the list goes on. Only a few male singers today maintain what I would term ‘authentic’ male tonal sounds.
